Doylestown at DelVal

Sunday, February 8th saw the beginning of what some can consider a great joint effort. A few members of the Doylestown Men’s and Women’s Rugby teams started a Rugby Club at Delaware Valley College. This club is a non-contact, co-ed, educational club with the purpose of educating its members on the sport of Rugby. All members are instructed on rules and regulations in addition to getting out and running around. Members of the Doylestown Rugby Football Club community were encouraged to come out and participate. This experience allows college students to further their education about Rugby, make new friends, and possibly come out and play with the members of the Doylestown Rugby Club. The first practice had a good turn out with about 20 people. Among those in attendance were Doug, Men’s Team Captain/President, and Kerryn, Women’s Team Co-Captain. Having this opportunity benefits both clubs and the students of DelVal. Hopefully this is a relationship that can continue for a long time.
