High School Girls’ Team

The Doylestown Rugby Academy High School Girls’ Team defeated host Hollidaysburg in the RugbyPA State Championship Semifinals on Sunday, May 14, 2023. The final score was 68-28. Reaghan King led the team with 3 tries and Maddie Doyle had 2 tries. Sydney Haddon, Lilly Fiske, Addy Lacarrubba, Maggie Austin, and Savannah Hines each had 1 try. Nolah Flynn made 9 conversions. The Dragons will take on Knightmare RFC for the RugbyPA State Championship on Sunday, May 21, 2023, at 3:30 p.m. at Penn State Berks in Reading.

Middle School Girls’ Team

On Sunday, May 14, 2023, the Doylestown Rugby Academy Middle School Girls’ Team defeated West Pitt, 17-5. Kayla Robinson scored 2 tries. Shiane Young scored 1 try. Robinson made 1 conversion. In the second match, Doylestown lost to an older Knightmare Middle School Girls’ Team, 20-12. Ashley Kelly and Kayla Robinson each scored 1 try. Robinson added 1 conversion as well.

Junior (U15) Boys’ Team

The Doylestown Rugby Academy Junior Boys’ Team defeated Coventry, at home, on Sunday, May 14, 2023, in the RugbyPA State Championship Semifinals. The Dragons led 19-0 at halftime, and the final score was 24-0. Doylestown played stout defense all day and tackled very well, as Coventry only threatened to score one time during the entire match. This was the second straight shutout for the Dragons. Try scorers for Doylestown were: Joey Craig (2), Jackson Reilly (1), and Aaron Kelly (1). Craig kicked 2 conversions. Doylestown now moves on to play for the RugbyPA State Championship against LaSalle College High School on Sunday, May 21, 2023, at 12:30 p.m. at Penn State Berks in Reading.

Youth (U13) Boys’ Team

The Doylestown Rugby Academy Youth Boys’ Team lost to host Blackthorn in the RugbyPA State Championship Semifinals on Sunday, May 14, 2023. The final score was 12-24. Try scorers for Doylestown were: Cross Cervellero (1) and Hunter Pulford (1). Conor Cassidy kicked 1 conversion. This match marked the end of the season for the Dragons. They finished with an overall record of 5-3, with a 3rd place finish in the RugbyPA league.
