Welcome to the Doylestown Youth Flag Rugby Program

Doylestown Flag Rugby is a coed, non-contact program for all players from Pre-K through 6th grade. The purpose of the program is to introduce rugby in a fun and safe environment – play, meet new friends, have fun and learn a new game.

Registration

Registration is open for the 2023 Season. (See the links below)

You are required to register in 2 locations. The total registration feel is $90.

Registration 1: The Rugby Explorer registration provides the club with liability insurance through USA Rugby (without which, we would not be permitted to play on the field).

Registration 2: The TeamSnap Registration registers your child with the Doylestown Rugby Football Club and provides the funding to run the Youth Flag Rugby program (purchase of shorts, jerseys, balls, line paint, field rental, etc.). This registration will be our primary means of communication therefore, the information you provide will be the contact information we use for all club and program related communications. Place the Team Snap app on your phone for maximum convenience.

You are required to register for Rugby Explorer first. You will receive an email confirmation from USA Rugby that your Registration is complete. Click on the 1st login toggle in that email to see your players USA ID number. This number is required for your Doylestown Youth Flag Rugby registration.

2023 Schedules

The games are played within a tournament format hosted by various clubs in the local area. Tournaments are played on Sundays, starting in the late morning and finishing up in the early afternoon. The 2023 tournaments will begin June 18 and will continue through July 30. Practice will begin Monday June 5 and will be held Mondays and Wednesdays until the first tournament on June 18, at which time practice will be held once a week on Wednesdays during the season.

We will host a tournament at the Doylestown Rugby Field. All practices will be at the Doylestown Rugby Field.

What Do You Need?

Doylestown Rugby will provide flag rugby shorts, flags and game shirts for each player. Players will need proper footwear. Some players wear sneakers but must wear molded cleats, similar to soccer or football cleats. As players, we find that simple soccer cleats are more comfortable for running around but all players have their own preferences (you do you). Wear shorts, T’s or sweat pants for practice.
