Doylestown Rugby Football Club News – September 16, 2024

Women’s Team

The women dragons fell to Harrisburg in their league opener 43 to 17. Trys were scored by Shay bae bae, Dowdy, and McFly with a converted conversion by Dowdy. Offensive Player of the Match was Vic, Defensive Player of the Match was Chessa, and Overall Player of the Match was Wildcat. Next week the women travel to face off against Northeast Philadelphia Irish with a slated kickoff time of 11 AM.

HS Boys 7’s

On Sunday, September 15th, 2024, the Doylestown Rugby Football Club’s High School Boy’s 7’s team traveled to Susquehanna University for their Youth 7’s tournament. After along day, the boys ended with a record of 2-2. Not bad for their first tournament of the fall season. Next week they travel to compete in the Next Phase Rugby 7s Shootout hosted by Berks County Rugby.

HS Girls 7’s

Doylestown Girls Rugby team I and team II had a great opening weekend placing 1st and 3rd in their first 7’s tournament of the season. Next week they travel to compete in the Next Phase Rugby 7s Shootout hosted by Berks County Rugby.
