U14 Boys’ Team

The Doylestown Rugby Academy U14 Boys’ Team secured their fifth and final victory of their undefeated season on Sunday, May 4, 2025. Because their opponent, Philadelphia-Whitemarsh, did not have the required number of players, the Young Dragons won by forfeit. Although Doylestown won the U14 match by forfeit, a match was still played on Sunday, May 4, 2025. The Doylestown U12 developmental side had the opportunity to play the mostly younger Philadelphia-Whitemarsh Youth / Hybrid Team in Roxborough (Philadelphia). Excellent tackling, rucking, and passing was demonstrated by the U12 / Hybrid Team in this match. They showed that you do not have to be the biggest team on the field to win in rugby; you just need be the most skilled. The Young Dragons demonstrated that by winning Sunday’s match against Philadelphia-Whitemarsh with a 69-0 victory.

The U12 / Hybrid Dragons were led by 16 stalwart players. It takes 15 players on each team to play rugby, so Doylestown only had 1 substitute player on their bench. This "Iron 16" included: Frankie Simek, Max Mallons, Charlie Franklin, Matt Warren, Wyatt Dexter, Maika Heimbach, Trace Keen, Quinn Fragner, Logan Wyatt, Lucas Wyatt, Conor Cassidy, Austin Zanoni, Killian Meehan, Parker Kelly, Colin Shorts, and Kellen Haney. These players have shown their dedication at practice and it paid dividends for them in the match on Sunday.

Try scorers were: Conor Cassidy (2), Trace Keen (2), Quinn Fragner (1), Maika Heimbach (1), Logan Wyatt (1), Lucas Wyatt (1), Killian Meehan (1), Wyatt Dexter (1), and Colin Shorts (1). Conversions were kicked by Lucas Wyatt (4), Conor Cassidy (2), and Trace Keen (1).
